2020 Faith Labor Breakfast Cancelled

Our 20th Annual Faith Labor Breakfast, planned for the last week in April, was unfortunately postponed due the COVID19 pandemic outbreak. When the Safer at Home initiative first was announced, we were optimistic that we would still be able to hold the event later this year. Alexis Herman, former US Secretary of Labor was scheduled to be our keynote speaker and we had many great sponsorships for the event. Unfortunately, as the pandemic continues to persist, we have had to make the hard decision to not hold an event this year.

The Faith Labor Breakfast has been our most successful fundraising event each year and we are hoping that we will be able to continue our tradition in 2021. Stay tuned for more details and the opportunity to participate or sponsor next year’s event. We would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support and understanding during the tough decision to cancel the event.

Platinum Level ($2000) – Hawks Quindel, S.C. Law Offices, Painters District Council No. 7

Gold Level ($1000) – Law Offices of Kurt Kobelt, SMART -Local Union 565, Mary Bell

Silver Level ($500) – Paulette Harder, Edgewood College, Sinsinawa Dominicans, Carpenters Union Local 314, MTI

Bronze Level ($100) – Pax Christi, Jim Cavanaugh, Mr &Mrs Skloot, Ekpevi Ayite Da Costa, Ann McNeary, CWA, SEIU Health Care Of Wisconsin, Lake Edge UCC, Rabbi Renee Bauer and Laurie Zimmerman, Wells Printing and Digital, WEAC, Michael Harder, Richard Wagner and John Murphy

Even though we were unable to host the event this year, we are so very thankful for these sponsors. Through their generosity, we had the extra funds to ensure our staff could have needed office supplies and technical equipment and work safely at home during this tough time. As the number of cases increased due to the outbreak, we were able to keep our “doors” open, while safely at home to all those that sought our assistance.
