In 2012, we produced a Wisconsin first — JUST DINING: A Guide to Restaurant Employment Standards in Downtown Madison. JUST DINING is a guide to downtown restaurants that informs customers and workers about the wages and benefits of people who cook, prepare, and serve food. It’s a way to highlight employers providing good jobs in downtown restaurants.
Release of the new edition of the Just Dining Guide:
Thursday, December 12
@ the Madison Central Library
201 W. Mifflin Street
Join us in the Community Room on the 3rd floor for light snacks and beverages and a short presentation about the ongoing Just Dining Project.
The Just Dining Guide looks at employment standards for restaurant workers in downtown Madison. The new guide is packed with much more info and response from employers has been very strong. We have also produced a Spanish edition to better reach all of the workers in the industry. Another thing that is new this year is a Just Dining Phone App that will allow customers and workers on the go to find out how a restaurant rates on their phone.
