ICWJ invites you to a weekend of music for worker justice!
On Friday, March 25th, First Unitarian Society is sponsoring an “Appreciation Concert for our Dedicated Wisconsin Public Servants” by singer songwriter activist Sara Thomsen. The concert will take place at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 25 at the First Unitarian Society Atrium Auditorium, 900 University Bay Drive [map]. Moved by the commitment and energy of Wisconsin demonstrators, Sara offered to include Madison in her mid-west concert tour. Bring your favorite legislator, teacher, fire fighter, police officer, public pensioner, Medicaid recipient and anyone else in need of healing and inspiration. We will be requesting a free will donation at the door with proceeds to go to Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice of South Central Wisconsin! Please help spread the word.
On Saturday, March 26th, local Madison band Bonobo Secret Handshake will be playing at the Harmony Bar, 2201 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI 53704 [map], in support of our efforts in the current fight to retain collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin workers. The music will begin at 9:45PM, but please feel free to come at 8:30PM to celebrate the powerful people’s movement in Madison and support the continuation of our work. The suggested donation for the event is $7-15, and proceeds will to go the Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice of South Central Wisconsin.
If you cannot join us on March 25th or 26th, you can still donate to the great work of ICWJ. Look for more details in the near future about this and other upcoming events!
