Interfaith Vigil for a Just & Moral Budget, June 2

On Thursday, June 2nd, 2011, join ICWJ, Madison-area Urban Ministry, and We Are Wisconsin for an interfaith candlelit  vigil outside the Wisconsin State Capitol at 7:00PM to decry the immoral proposed Wisconsin budget that continues to make its way through the legislature. The state budget is indeed a moral document, and reflects the values of the people of Wisconsin. This proposed budget, however, does not reflect our values. As people of faith, we are called to advocate for the rights of the disadvantaged and justice for all. Wisconsin’s working families deserve a budget based upon fairness and justice.

The vigil will take place on the State Street side of the Capitol. Meet at 7:00PM on June 2nd to bear witness to the values that strengthen Wisconsin families.
