I am happy to report that the president of the United Methodist Council of Bishops is among endorsers of a letter to Congress from 16 faith leaders that speaks out against proposed deep cuts in the U.S. FY2011 discretionary domestic and poverty-focused foreign-aid spending.
The letter characterizes the cuts as “unprecedented and dangerous.” It asserts that the cuts to domestic and foreign-aid spending will “jeopardize the lives and well-being of millions now and into the future.”
